I was home sick today and was settling in to watch some ‘toons when Dad booted me outside to take some frost pictures. It was warming up and the frost would melt soon, so I didn’t even get to finish my show! I took a lot of pictures of frost on the hand rail of our front step, some frosty weeds that were shorter than my pinky nail, and some frost on dead grass.
Dad let me use his very expensive camera to take some close-up shots of the frost. The camera has a macro lens which let you zoom in on really tiny things. I couldn’t use the auto focus because it doesn’t work well for this type of shot, so I just slowly moved the camera back and forth while taking pictures. This let me get things as they went in and out of focus. We deleted the ones that were blurry. This is my dad’s trick. He says it’s faster than trying to focus for every shot.
Here are the best pictures from this morning. I hope you enjoy them.
