The end of the year is almost upon us, and you know what that means. The wrapping up of courses, final field trips, and the mad studying for exams.
Miss Karla Marsh was publicly thanked by Mrs. Kim Barth of Hanna Lodge for her work with the Adopt-A-Grandparent Program she spearheaded with her grade one class this year. Both the students and the Lodge Residents came away from this year with a lot of great memories.
Our students have been popping up all over the province in the past week. The grade eights were conquering the mountains this past week during a trip to Banff with Mr. Raugust. On June 13th the Senior Art class and Mrs. Koller were drawing with the dinosaurs at the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller. Miss Hiles took her Physics 20 to look at the physics behind amusement park rides at Calaway Park in Calgary.
JCC’s “Fabulous Food Factory” a.k.a. our concession closes on June 23rd. The last day for concession tabs is June 16th. Please make sure your bill is settled by that date. The staff and student would like to send a huge shout out to Bridget for yet another year of wonderful eats and treats.
Upcoming news includes June 28th being the last day of school for our grade ones with report cards for K-6 coming out on June 29th. The report cards for grades 7-12 will come out on June 30th. The last week of June will be dedicated to final exams. For more information, visit the JCC website at jcc.plrd.ab.ca and check out the calendar.
That sums up this week’s news, but we’ll be back one last time to wrap up the school year. Until then, remember: Study like your future depends on it! (Because it does.)
